Every confirmed Portal in Control: Resonant, from the Oldest House Executive Sector to the Downtown basketball court, plus the antenna trick for finding them.
Control: Resonant scatters Portals across warped Manhattan and inside the Oldest House, and several of them are genuinely easy to walk past. This guide collects every confirmed Portal location, explains how activation works, and shows how the Survey Tower antenna trick doubles as a Portal-finding tool.
How Portals Work
Portals are interaction points you activate on the spot. Nothing spawns them and no quest hands them to you — you have to physically reach them. The two confirmed activations so far both sit in the Downtown area, and both are tied to progression you will already be doing: one to a story beat inside the Oldest House, one to Survey Tower calibration out on the streets.
Portal: The Oldest House — Executive Sector
Your first Portal is free if you follow the story. After you beat the Artist — the boss that closes the game's opening stretch — talk to Pope, then ride the elevator upstairs and start re-exploring the Oldest House. Several rooms up there hold chests, and the upper reaches of the Executive Sector are lined with doors that demand clearance you do not yet have. In one corner of that upper floor sits the Portal marked The Oldest House: Executive Sector. Activate it while you are up there; a second trip is pure wasted walking.
Portal: Outside the Oldest House
The second Portal is outdoors, and you will almost certainly pass beside it without noticing. The route:
- Leave the Oldest House and step onto the Downtown streets.
- Head for the rooftop ahead of you and activate the Downtown Survey Tower — this unlocks the zone map.
- Talk to the worker standing next to the tower. Calibration is required before the tower comes online: three nearby antennas flash red, and you need to align all of them.
- One of those three antennas stands beside the basketball court. The Portal Outside the Oldest House is right next to that antenna.
The Antenna Trick
Red flashes make the antennas conspicuous, but there is a faster method than scanning the skyline: read the Survey Tower itself. Its three radar dishes each point at one antenna dish, so the tower is effectively a compass for its own calibration targets. Follow the dishes, calibrate the antennas, and while you are at the basketball court anyway, grab the Portal beside it.
Tips
- Combine Portal hunting with Survey Tower activation — the calibration loop already drags you past one confirmed Portal.
- Re-exploring the Oldest House after the opening boss is not optional flavor: the Executive Sector floor holds both chests and your first Portal.
