Does Control: Resonant use Denuvo on PC? The current DRM status, Remedy's track record and how to verify the final build once the game unlocks.
Denuvo is one of the first things PC players check before buying, and with Control: Resonant the short answer is: Remedy has not announced Denuvo for the PC version. As of now, neither official communications nor the Steam store page mention Denuvo Anti-Tamper anywhere.

Why Remedy's Track Record Matters
Remedy is self-publishing Control: Resonant, and the studio's history points the same way. The original Control shipped on PC without Denuvo, and the Alan Wake series has likewise stayed off Denuvo on PC. Avoiding aggressive third-party DRM has been Remedy's consistent habit across its single-player releases, and there is nothing in the pre-launch messaging to suggest Control: Resonant breaks that pattern.
In practice that means PC copies are currently protected by Steam's own DRM alone, with no Denuvo anti-tamper layer stacked on top.
The Caveat: Verify After Launch
Pre-launch details can change, and DRM is one of the things publishers sometimes add late. Two reliable checks settle the question for good:
- The Steam store page. If Denuvo is ever added, it must appear in the EULA / third-party DRM notice on the store listing.
- The game files themselves. Once the game unlocks, the installed files can be inspected directly — the definitive confirmation.
Until one of those shows otherwise, the evidence says Control: Resonant ships Denuvo-free.
